The above user is getting at exactly what I noticed when doing the sound meditation Allowing Sound to Be As It Is: a changing relationship in consciousness as sound happens. I love that she pointed out that this is what we are doing when we are exploring listening practice, exploring this territory, and this is very revealing to me, and makes this work very exciting.
It makes me think of the history of sound art, too: you can see it as a reflection of the patterns of a changing modern consciousness, to embrace more gritty, urban possibilities, a sense of an inner landscape which electronic sound artists have been able to bring alive.
