hearing Free Meditation: Allowing Sound to Be As It Is

There is such a strong impulse to change it, to interpret it in some way (sound)

as I centered on allowing sound to be as it is, I relaxed deeply, I felt a place in the center of my nervous system that had been buzzing with stress and activity relax.

The sound seemed to take on a luminous quality, as if allowing it to be also allowed me to perceive it more directly. It became more clear and crisp, all the details were available.

As many others have reported, I became very relaxed. I became very relaxed, and it felt if my body was self-balancing itself, like I was getting out of the way and that was happening naturally.

I had no idea how much tension I was holding - as I relaxed more, I became aware that I was really angry at myself for some choices that I had made recently

As I meditated, I relaxed through all the layers of this. There was a distance from them - my awareness was rooted in a core sense of relaxation, so it was not overwhelming

I feel renewed and relaxed, and my consciousness feels expanded

Discovered I could approach ASIS also as “relaxing into sound” this was really wonderful - very visceral, and direct, and beautiful. Especially when there was distractions, there was a deepening of the sense this is not something to run away from, it is just an aspect of life that wishes to be acknowledged.
